Individualized Groups in Education

“How should my classroom look if I want to use IG?”

Filed under: Satire, humor — cugregors @ 4:18 pm

This is the first question I get from teachers planning on using IG in their classrooms.  With IG, your classroom should be individualized, but in a group setting.  It’s really easy.  I like to put my students in groups, but by themselves.

Also, remember that the core essential of IG is to make your group work individually.  Also, your individual work should be guided towards a cooperative group.

  1. I would love to see how this could be put to use in my classroom. Do you have example seating charts or lesson plans on grouping individually? I can’t believe no one has thought of this before. You are truly an educational innovator!! Do you have any published work?

  2. Just a thought, maybe your first IG could focus on the unnecessary use of apostrophe’s. Or were you putting those in on purpose for an activity in your next post? I’m sure it had a purpose; I’m sorry for questioning you.
